On the Seal Tour, every seat is a good one; it’s an open air tour vehicle that allows all guests to enjoy the tour with amazing views. Our amphibious vehicles, driven by our experienced captains, are specially designed and built to be used on land and water; each one is Coast Guard approved and meets all passenger vehicle and department of transportation requirements to ensure the safety and comfort of everyone on board. Everyday, hundreds of adults and children are delighted with San Diego’s most unique sightseeing experience.
When you climb onboard the San Diego Seal Tour, get set for a remarkable excursion. Your 90-minute journey begins on the streets of San Diego and is narrated by one of our first mates San Diego seal tour vehicle splashing into the waterwho lives in and loves San Diego and has a vast knowledge of things to do and see. You’ll hear about San Diego’s rich history and see first-hand the many famous spots of America’s Finest City. Departing from Seaport Village on Harbor Drive, our hydra-terra vehicles lead you through beautiful San Diego, past famous points of interest like the Maritime Museum where the Star of India, the oldest active sailing vessel in the world, is docked, The U.S.S. Midway, Lindbergh Field - our international airport dedicated to aviator Charles Lindbergh, Little Italy and many other San Diego attractions.
The Seal Tour then takes a fascinating turn and drives straight into the San Diego Bay for the second half of your adventure! Gliding past resident San Diego sea lions, a few California brown pelicans and several other wildlife species that make the bay their home, the San Diego Seal tour becomes a boat ride—without you ever having left your seat! Once in the water, The Seal takes you on a leisurely cruise where you can witness the magnificence of the water, various San Diego sights of interest including Point Loma with its beautiful mansions lining the hillside, the North Island Naval Air Station - one of the largest repair facilities for fighter jets, Point Loma Submarine Base, the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, the Marine Mammal Training Center, Shelter Island, Harbor Island and much more. Learn about San Diego’s interesting maritime past and present including the tuna industry and the importance of the military in the city.

Cancellation policy:
Cancellation Policy – By placing an order you are agreeing to the following Cancellation Policy. Any order booked and subsequently cancelled will be subject to a $25 per person cancellation fee. Any reservation cancelled within 24 hours of tour departure are 100% non-refundable. If the total price of your purchase is less than $25 you will only be charged the amount of the activity. This cancellation policy is applicable for each activity, event or tour within a transaction. Any changes to date or time will be accepted with no charge up until 24 hours prior to the tour departure or activity or event scheduled start time. Changes within the 24 hour cutoff must be done by phone and will be subject to availability, if the preferred date or time of the change is not available then the standard cancellation penalty applies.
Any collected cancellation fees will be credited to your customer account and will be available for use on any of our other products. Re booking must be done within one year of your cancellation to apply any cancellation credits, unused cancellation fees are non-refundable if not used to re book another of our products within one year.
Cancellation requests must be called into The Destination Center on 1 866 431 1634 or email cancellation@thedestinationcenter.com (emailed cancellation requests may not be received prior to the 24 hour cancellation cutoff – it is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure a reservation is cancelled in time).
