You can enjoy the sites and sounds of New York City in the luxurious comfort of a privately driven car with the Private Guided New York City Tour in a Stretch Limousine. This three hour experience will dazzle you with the complete downtown experience, taking you to the lower area of Manhattan. You will explore the Bohemian West Village, the artsy SoHo, the film festival atmosphere of TriBeCa, the cobblestoned docks at South Street Seaport and the bustling Financial District. Your guide will entertain you with commentaries at the Brooklyn Bridge, the Manhattan Bridge, in Little Italy and Chinatown, where you will see more than twenty main landmarks.
Your tour commences with a pick up from your hotel, gathering you and your guests (maximum ten people) for a trip with a personal tour guide. You will not only get to view everything from the comfort of your seat, but get up close and personal as you walk around varied interesting spots.
You stop first at the West Village. You will investigate restaurants, cafes, shops and art galleries. Then you will be whisked away to SoHo to discover a haven for artists of all ages and experiences, wandering through varied shops and art galleries.
Your trip to TriBeCa will be a unique one. This fairly new neighborhood is setting the style for artsy and esoteric movie making, and home to the annual New York Film Festival.
From there it is off the historical cobblestoned docks of South Street Seaport. You will see boats and ships of all sizes, and learn about the significant role these docks had in the immigration of many people over the past two centuries.
From there you navigate through traffic to the Financial District. You will, time permitting get to see the New York Stock Exchange. Then you will ride across the famous Brooklyn Bridge, and learn that this bridge was the first of its kind on the planet, dating back to the late nineteenth century. In the distance you will also see the Manhattan Bridge, which as your guide will explain, handles some three hundred and fifty commuters daily.
Then it’s off to have a taste of culture, history and ethnic diversity. Your limousine will stop in Chinatown, now the largest of its kind on the North American continent. You will wander through varied stores and experience the tastes and smells of this unique culture. After that your final stop is in Little Italy, where you will walk on foot around more than twenty historical and famous landmarks.
Your tour covers three hours and is the car is fully equipped to handle up to ten grown adults, but does accept children as well as disabled passengers. The limousine is completely wheelchair accessible. Though no food is provided, stops can be made at the Seaport, but beverages are inclusive in the cost of your ticket.
The tour runs daily, dependant on weather and traffic conditions. Tickets cost $595/person, and can be purchased through your hotel’s concierge.
Due to the walking side of the tour, you are recommended to wear suitable clothes and shoes, as well as bringing along an umbrella and raincoat. Taking photos is permitted and there is no restriction on the use of camcorders, so bring plenty of batteries and take the opportunity to get as many shots as possible. |
